HONOURABLE WOMAN OF THE YEAR 2024 PROFILE:
Her Excellency Prof. Dr Pauline Long FIIM is an AUGP NOBEL PEACE PRIZE recipient. She is a multi-award
winning serial entrepreneur, serial philanthropist, media mogul, public speaker, author, peace activist,
mentor, TV/film producer and presenter who has been listed on Black Women In Europe Powerlist, named
the most outstanding woman of the year(2016), Europe's most powerful woman for changing many lives
through BEFFTA(2017) and global African Woman of the year(2022). She has also been honoured in the UK
parliament as one of the 100 most outstanding Africans and named International Woman of the Year (2023).
The graceful humanitarian and peace activist is the most celebrated African woman in Europe with 18
Lifetime Achievement Awards and over 400 awards given to her for her endless service to the society and
selfless support she gives to charities and humanitarian projects around the world. She has been awarded a
special Lifetime Achievement honour by the president of the USA, H.E Joe Biden for being a strong advocate for
human love committed to bringing communities together. Prof Long has been named by NELAs Academy
Awards as a phenomenal leader for 5 consecutive years, an honour she does not take lightly as a committed
servant leader.
Professor Pauline Long has become the first person to be appointed AGN(Actors Guild Of Nigeria)
International Consultant. Through this role, she can bring grants and investors to the African film
industry.
One of the most striking aspects about this phenomenal entrepreneur is that she works day and night to fund
all the humanitarian initiatives she has established, she has done this for over 20 years.
Prof Pauline Long's status as a role model has earned her the highest African recognition honour and Heroic
Award alongside Her Excellency, the former president of Malawi Dr Joyce Banda.
She is a global ambassador for the Universal Peace Federation(UPF) and chief ambassador of the Academy Of
Universal Global Peace is based in New York. Prof Long is also a governor of the American University USA
and United Nations University. She is passionate about delivering leadership lectures. As an advocate for
great leadership, Prof Pauline Long was appointed the African ambassador for the Nelson Mandela Book
which was launched in the UK Parliament. She is a visiting Professor at various leading UK universities including
Kings College University where she has delivered lectures on entrepreneurship.
Dr Long is the owner and founder of Europe's biggest award ceremony for black and ethnic personalities
entertainment, film, fashion, TV, Arts as well as leadership, business and philanthropy - BEFFTA ( Black
Entertainment Film Fashion Television & Arts Awards)where she has transformed thousands of lives. She
also founded FEED THE STREET CHILDREN CAMPAIGN where she engaged her team to provide food to
thousands of children who live on the streets in Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania. Recently, she founded
sanitary pads campaign called 4ME 4HER where she has so far distributed free sanitary pads in African
villages to over 600 orphaned girls and those from underprivileged backgrounds who often skip school during
menstruation and so by providing these free sanitary pads she helps keep the girls in education.
Prof. Dr Pauline Long is a popular TV presenter on Sky Channel 458 who has transformed lives through
Pauline Long Show gives platforms to the voiceless and fight global injustices such as abuse, extreme
poverty, and bullying. She has interviewed over 4000 guests on the show from the UK, Africa, Asia, Europe USA.
Some of the guests she interviewed include football legend Didier Drogba, Oscar nominee and BAFTA winner
Chiwetel Ejiofor, The Drifters, famous actress Jocelyn Dumas, Vice President Of Malawi Saulos Chiluba,
veteran Nollywood actor Ramsey Nouah and more. The show also highlights business and politics. Prof
Long is the president of the Pauline Long Entrepreneurship Foundation(PLEF) where she supplies sewing
machines, food and agricultural products to women in different parts of Africa. Through the foundation, she
takes care of over 60 old and widowed women in Kenya and offers scholarships to 150 students in Malawi,
Zambia and Congo. She also founded Dr Pauline Long's Super Cup Football tournament to empower youth
from deprived backgrounds. She is currently building multi-purpose women and community centres in Malawi
and Kenya. She mentors over 1000 youth through the Pauline Long Empowerment and Mentorship Club both in
UK and Africa. Her latest movement called YOUTH CAN TOO encourages the youth to become leaders in
various sectors. Professor Pauline Long through her several philanthropic activities has created Pauline
Long Entrepreneurship Foundation Scholarship to support youth education and Pauline Long
Entrepreneurship Small Business Funds where she provides grants to struggling single mothers and youth in
business
